                                              The Read to Learn software bundle includes eight eReader (interactive book) titles:

                                              The eReaders focus on real-world social skills and practical problem-solving.  The software has speech-to-text capabilities.  Each lesson has follow-up comprehension questions and multiple-choice responses which can also be read-aloud.  The eReaders can be used on an interactive white board for whole group instruction/review.

                                              Additional materials for each title include a student's book and a teacher's guide, with a .PDF of all print materials. 


                                              Technology such as the Read-to-Learn bundle helps students to gain exposure to real-world life skills and practical social stories.  The skills addressed, in addition to the language-processing skills, include social pragmatics, vocational skills, and self-advocacy skills.



                                              Connections in the Workplace

                                              The Read to Learn bundle includes Connections in the Workplace, which helps students understand the intricacies of social interactions in community-based work settings.  The series presents 35 stories, depicting common situations faced by young adults as they start out in the working world. The software contains a read-aloud option with colorful illustrations on each screen.  Each story is followed by multiple-choice comprehension questions, covering the main points and vocabulary.

                                              Widgit's Symbols

                                              Widgit has a bundle of PC-based software that allows the users to create symbol-infused materials.  They also have several applications that allow users to include symbols on websites.
                                              Widgit has created a very useful Guide to Symbols, available as a .PDF file.
                                              Symbol World is a free site with loads of materials made with Widgit Symbols.
